About This Role
As the Team Lead, Community Connections and Client Care, you will provide leadership and
oversight to staff delivering group-based services and therapeutic programming. You will
support the planning, implementation, training and evaluation of evidence-informed groups
and programs that respond to client needs in mental health, addictions, and recovery-oriented
care. This role emphasizes program quality, program and staff development and facilitation
training. Will collaborate with external partners to build and maintain community connections.
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will provide day-to-day leadership to group facilitators
and program staff, support staff coverage, resolve conflicts, and step in to support program
delivery when required. You will play a key role in fostering a trauma-informed, inclusive, and
client-centered environment, ensuring programs align with organizational standards, best
practices, and community needs. A core component of this role is leading and facilitating staff
training related to group facilitation, program delivery, and skill development.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and support to groups and programming staff.
Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of group-based and structured programming.
Ensure programs are evidence-informed, trauma-informed, culturally safe and responsive to client needs.
Facilitate team meetings, program planning sessions and training workshops.
Lead staff training initiatives to support competency in group facilitation and program delivery.
Monitor program participation, outcomes, and feedback to support continuous quality improvement.
Support staff scheduling, coverage, and conflict resolution related to program delivery.
Step in to facilitate groups or support client care when operationally required.
Ensure accurate, timely, and complete program documentation and reporting.
Ensure adherence to organizational policies, ethical standards, and safety protocols.
Act as a liaison with internal teams and community partners to support integrated programming.
Build and maintain community connections and generate opportunities for program delivery.
Attend community events to represent Day and Evening Treatment program.
Qualifications & Requirements
Qualifications:
University Degree in a health-related field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology,
Nursing, Mental Health and Addictions).
Minimum 3 years of experience in community mental health or addictions services
Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience
Strong knowledge of group facilitation, psychosocial rehabilitation, trauma- informed care and substance use health.
Experience developing, delivering or evaluating group-based programming is a strong asset.
Experience in withdrawal management or residential treatment settings is considered an asset.
Strong organizational, communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Experience in staff training, mentoring, or clinical education is a strong asset.
Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Valid vehicle insurance with a minimum $2,000,000 liability coverage.
Ability to work within the Mental Health Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ministry of Health guidelines, and LLGAMH program standards.
