Partner Assault Response (PAR)

Court-mandated group program for individuals charged with domestic violence.

Partner Assault Response addresses intimate partner violence through structured, court-mandated behaviour change programming. Domestic violence frequently intersects with trauma, mental health challenges, substance use, and learned behaviour patterns, and is most effectively addressed by providers with expertise in cognition, trauma, accountability, and behaviour change.

Developed and overseen by the Ministry of the Attorney General as part of Ontario’s Domestic Violence Court Program, PAR provides group education and counselling focused on accountability, non-violent behaviour, and healthy relationships. Delivered through LLGAMH, the program supports participants not only to meet court requirements, but also to address the underlying risk factors that contribute to violence and its recurrence.

The program serves clients across the regions of Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville.
